Novotny and Maloney are currently developing a 2010-2011 USPAP Update course with a personal property focus that should be published online in mid 2010. The online USPAP Update course will discuss many new FAQ, and offer real world examples and Q&A that focus on complex and commonly misunderstood USPAP issues that are frequently violated. The course will also focus on the unique issues that general personal property appraisers must understand in order to comply with USPAP, and to stay current with the changes published by the the ASB in each new edition. Novotny has been an AQB Certified National USPAP Instructor since 2002 (#10138). 

Novotny has valued antiques and all types of personal property for over 30 years. He specializes in litigation support and has been retained as an expert witness for over 30 cases. He frequently testifies at depositions and trials. His knowledge and experience with common household contents, rare and unusual properties, as well as most types of appraisals and the various market levels prepare him to analyze and discuss complex assignments and the USPAP issues that apply throughout the appraisal process competently. Such a rich and varied background provides many real world examples that relate to the many issues personal property appraisers face in their daily practice.
